Selogriyo temple and Elo river rafting is a perfect tour for nature lovers who love river adventure and secluded hill vibe
Selogriyo Temple
Selogriyo temple is an ancient relic in Windusari District, Magelang Regency, Central Java. It is estimated to have been built in the 9th century AD, during the Ancient Mataram Kingdom.
This classical Indonesian architecture, with a Hindu background, faces east. On the four walls of the temple, there are five niches housing statues of deities. These statues are Durga Mahisasuramardini (north wall), Ganesha (west wall), Agastya (south wall), and Nandiswara and Mahakala (east wall).
One of the unique features of this temple without any ancillary facilities is its pinnacle, shaped like a keben fruit. This pinnacle is called amalaka.
Elo River
The Elo River which stretches across the city of Magelang with its clear and fresh water offers a 12 kilometer class II+ (AWA Scale) rafting challenge which will take around 2 hours. You will also enjoy traditional Indonesian food and lunch after finishing rafting.
