Temple building

This classical Indonesian architecture, with a Hindu background, faces east. On the four walls of the temple, there are five niches housing statues of deities. These statues are Durga Mahisasuramardini (north wall), Ganesha (west wall), Agastya (south wall), and Nandiswara and Mahakala (east wall).

One of the unique features of this temple without any ancillary facilities is its pinnacle, shaped like a keben fruit. This pinnacle is called amalaka.

Restoration

In December 1998, the temple was destroyed by a landslide on the hill on which it stood. Reconstruction was completed in 2005.
