Throughout Indonesia, becak is largely found everywhere as the main transportation, especially during 80s and 90s while motored vehicles were not widely exist. Throughout South and East Asian countries it is also known as bike taxi, tricycle, trishaw, bikecab. Initially it was all human-powered pedaling, while now it’s becoming more rare to find.
Traveling with becak is fun. You sit in front being able to enjoy the view ahead and air breezing through your hair. But if it’s raining, you big fellas should squeeze body because the becak foldable roof is not high enough.
