Sultan’s Palace of Yogyakarta (Kraton) is the birthplace of Javanese culture. Together with Taman Sari (Water Castle) you will be taken back to the time where tradition, culture and architecture of Yogyakarta was initially there. Sultan’s Palace looks very humble, no fancy items yet beautiful and mythical. You can watch art performance at 10 am daily.

The Water castle is a unique compound as former royal garden of the Sultanate of Yogyakarta, located  500 meters away from the Palace within the grounds of the Kraton which functioned a resting area, workshop, meditation area, defense area, and a hiding place.

This tour ends at Prambanan temple.
