The temple compound is located approximately 17 kilometres (11 mi) northeast of the city of Yogyakarta on the boundary between Central Java and Yogyakarta provinces.
Ramayana ballet Prambanan is a show that combines dance and drama without dialogue. Based on the Ramayana story, it’s performed near the temple on Java Island, Indonesia. The dance performs since 1961.
