Jomblang Cave & Prambanan Sunset Tour: Explore a Hidden Cave and Watch a Magical Sunset at an Ancient Temple
One of the cave adventures you can experience in Yogyakarta is Jomblang Cave. This vertical collapse doline cave was formed by the geological process of the subsidence of the soil and its vegetation into the ground thousands of years ago. Approximately 60 meters deep, Jomblang Cave is a conservation area for ancient plants.
Two people descend Jomblang Cave together using the single rope technique (you do nothing, just sit on the rope). You’ll then traverse 300 meters of darkness, reaching the 90-meter-deep Grubug Cave at the end. There, you will embrace the heavenly ray of light.

Read what you need to prepare before entering Jomblang cave.
Make sure your tickets are reserved through Jogjatripper because the operator only have around 100 tickets a day.
After having an adventure in the cave, you will then enjoy the Prambanan temple for the sunset.
